Embossing Folders
Tip from Tim Holtz! Combine embossing and stamping
Here, Tim inked the background of the tag in a darker orange first, then embossed with the Checkerboard folder, and lightly rubbed distress ink over the embossed area. To complete this tag, stamp a spooky spider web, add a skinny embossed skelation from the Halloween Night folder and attach ribbons and trendy test paper with staples.
Tip from Tim Holtz! Add ink to emphasize a pattern
Tim used the Bingo folder, deliberately placing the 31 in the bottom right corner and highlighting it with black ink. He added shimmer spray and heavy metallics to intensify the distressed look.
Tip from Tim Holtz! Create a debossed effect
This tag was created by inking the wood grain folder and then embossing the tag to create a stamped and debossed effect. Enhance the wood grain with all sorts of dramatic embellishments!
